On Sunday 9th November, Gig Mill Primary School proudly took part in the Remembrance Parade at Mary Stevens Park. In preparation, children were invited to write letters explaining why they should be chosen to lay the wreath at the cenotaph. Their thoughtful and heartfelt words reflected deep respect, with many sharing stories of great-grandparents who served during the war.

We were thrilled to announce our School Councillors and Wellbeing Champions from each class in Year 1 - 6 last week during our Celebration Assembly.
We look forward to seeing the difference they make this year to support their class and in sharing our pupils' voices on the things that matter most to us at Gig Mill.
Well done to all of you - it's wonderful to see you wearing your badges around school with pride.

Our Trust Councillors attended their first meeting of the year on Friday 10th October at Woodside Primary School.
We joined the Trust Councillors from all seven of our Trust schools to find out more about our focus for the year ahead and to complete the important task of selecting our new Trust charities.
Our Gig Mill Councillors spoke with confidence to share their research and proposals for a local, national and international charity before every child voted for their choice.
More details on the charities that were chosen to follow soon.
