Remembrance Parade
On Sunday 9th November, Gig Mill Primary School proudly took part in the Remembrance Parade at Mary Stevens Park. In preparation, children were invited to write letters explaining why they should be chosen to lay the wreath at the cenotaph. Their thoughtful and heartfelt words reflected deep respect, with many sharing stories of great-grandparents who served during the war.
We were delighted to select Osian and Oscar to lay our Hales Valley Trust wreath, and Winnie and Willow to lay the Gig Mill wreath. Following the service, our pupils had the honour of walking in the parade alongside local representatives. It was a meaningful and memorable experience for everyone involved.
