We actively promote the children of Gig Mill to be involved with school life as much as possible and we value their views and input.

Children have the opportunity to apply for some of these positions each academic year by completing an application form and interview process, others are nominated by the peers and /or teachers.

Trust Council

We also have 4 elected members of The Hales Valley Trust Council.

The members of the council attend meetings with the CEO of the Trust and inform her about our schools. 

Over the course of a year the Trust council raise money for 3 charities decided upon by the members of the Trust Council. Each school carried out fundraising activities to raise money for all 3 charities. 

For 2024 -2025 the chosen charities are:

Black Country Food Bank - Local Charity

UPS and Downs - National Charity for Downs Syndrome

Cancer Research - International Charity
