From April 1st 2022 - Covid update "Living with Covid"
Updated guidance advises:
- adults with symptoms of a respiratory infection, and who have a high temperature or feel unwell, should try and stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they no longer have a high temperature.
- Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough to attend.
- adults with a positive Covid-19 test result should try and stay at home and avoid contact with other people for five days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice will be three days.
All children in YR, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 will need to come to school wearing their PE kits on their PE days.
All PE at the moment will be outdoors, we strongly recommend that children are wearing tracksuit / jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt or hoodie over their PE T shirt when the days are colder.
Trainers or pumps will also need to be worn for the day. The children will not be changing before or after PE so it is important for the children to remember which day is their PE tracksuit day as they will need to come dressed ready to take part. Please do not bring any kit into school if you forget as we will not be able to take it to your child.
If possible all tracksuits should be a dark plain colour eg navy, black, grey or green. Please make sure pumps and trainers are suitable for children to be running around exercising in. If your child is unable to tie laces, we strongly recommend the use of Velcro fastenings as this means no adult contact is needed to help your child if a lace becomes undone.
